Omg I woke up to this comment and it made my entire morning - all I really want as a game dev is to drop the dopamine on players and run 😂 I really love super involved plots (usually with murder and betrayal) but this was a really nice change of pace from a dev perspective as well so I totally get you. I think the game did crash on me at one point, but it was so perfectly worded and at such a perfect point in the game right at the end that I was completely convinced it was part of the game. I do usually like darker plotlines, but something light is really nice every now and then, like you said.
Oh, this was quite a wholesome game! I played the full version and had fun exploring the different endings that were offered! Overall, I liked bantering with Virgil, and yet getting to know him, and to get all the pieces of lore the game had to offer! (I'm legit curious now about the whole cupid workplace, and also, they need more labour rights oh my god)
The art was positively gorgeous, be it the GUI, the sprite, the background and also, I need to note it, THE COLOURS! Amazing, chef's kiss, beautiful, iconic, daring, ambitious- more seriously, it was all very pop, very bright and it helped making the game a 100% wholesome experience (well, beside redacted).
The VA too was GREAT! Very fitting for Virgil, and the acting matched really well the tone of the game!
Congrats to the whole team for making this (especially since I think you joined O2A2 quite late? So quite an achievement!!)
Ohh, let's see if I can help! Have you extracted the file from the zip? Another possible option is, have you tried right-clicking and opening as admin?
You may also be getting a warning that reads "Windows protected your PC". To bypass this, click on the "More info" and "Run anyway".
If you're running the pc version, make sure you get the CupidsKiss-1.1-FULL version, it has some extra content and endings that the web version doesn't have anyway!

LOVED IT! Beautiful art. Every choice and every line made me laugh. Hilarious and well written, and I loved the different endings (yes, the banter was so good and character so sassy I replayed it 4 times for the different endings and wasn't even mad). 11/10
That was fun! especially loved the ending with him together, even though the twist (?) was bittersweet! So impressive, considering how this is just a mini vn! I'm curious about the third ending though? I don't know whether I got it. I have had the one, where he goes and respects me not wanting love, then the one where we kiss and how do i get the third one? :)

The level of polish within the Jam's time frame is absolutely insane! The story hooks you right off the bat, the UI and theme is so pretty (I love the dreamy pastels!), and the ART!!!! WOW!ZA!!

Fair AF, I need to do some suggested balancing (I think the sound/music/voice are all at max by default) and add a settings button to the game itself so people can balance music/voice/sound for themselves if it's whack. Adding it to the queue ☺️
Good catch, I went to double check and one of the endings got scrapped because it didn't 'fit' and I never got it back in for the full version 😅 gonna go edit the page

It's in the full, downloadable version 😂 We had to cut the 'f*ck off' end from the o2a2 version because it didn't fit the 1000 word limit
